Protecting God’s Children
As part of its initiative to try to ensure the safety of every child at our parish (and certainly beyond), the Diocese of Springfield-in-Illinois has mandated that any adult participating in any parish or school service or ministry, even only on an infrequent basis, complete Protecting God’s Children. The program provides information that will help every participant learn how to keep children safe from one of the most hideous assaults in our time, child sexual abuse. To this end, local Parishes are offering a number of Protecting God’s Children sessions over the course of the year. Sessions are scheduled at various times and on various days to meet the needs of all parish volunteers. Sessions are limited to 25 participants each and are filled on a first-come/first-served basis.. Upcoming trainings are listed on the Diocese website. Please look for Quincy in the location. Please let us know if you have any questions. Contact the Parish Office at 217-222-3155 or church@cospq.org
