LOCAL GRIEF SUPPORT GROUPS
GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP IN HANNIBAL — The Grief Support Group, a service of Hannibal Regional Hospital, meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in Conference Room C at the hospital. The group provides opportunities to discuss coping with the loss of a loved one. Friends, family members and survivors who have experienced the loss of a loved one are invited to share and learn from one another's experiences. ST. DOMINIC WIDOWS SUPPORT GROUP — The St. Dominic Widows Support group meets once a month for dinner, usually at Sprout's Inn in Quincy. For more information on when they are meeting, please call St. Dominic's at 224-9102 and ask for Sherry Schutte.
SHARE MEETING AT BLESSING-RIEMANN — SHARE meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in Room 116 of the Blessing-Riemann College of Nursing, in Quincy, Illinois. SHARE is A Source for Help in Airing and Resolving Experiences. The mission of SHARE is to serve those who are troubled by the tragic death of a child. SHARE offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents and provides help for grieving families.
HEAL MEETING AT BLESSING-REIMAN — HEAL meetings are held once a month at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in Room 109 of the Blessing-Riemann College of Nursing in Quincy, Illinois. HEAL is a source of help for people who are troubled by the loss of a spouse, family member or close personal friend. |

Upcoming Activities: 4-Week Grief Series “A time to mourn...a time to heal” is a four week series starting on Oct. 14 for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Each session will last approximately 1 1/2 hours at the parish office. Groups will meet Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 a.m. If you would like more information, please contact Marty Venvertloh at 222-3155.
Quincy Area Bereavement Ministry invites people from all denominations their meetings held on the 4th Thursday of each month, 8:30AM at the Quincy Senior Center. The goals of this committee are: to provide relief to those who are grieving to educate others to help those who grieve.
